Celebrating a long collaboration with the Jhb Medieval Fayre and AlterEgos Events, we were extremely excited to be asked to do the artwork for Fantasy Fayre 2026.

As is standard for their events, they need a complementary array of design work: A3 poster, A5 flyer, branding for their order page on Quicket as well as a matching cover image for their Facebook event; as well as social media images in various sizes and aspect ratios.
So
we created a bold, cinematic flyer design supported by matching social media graphics and ticketing collateral to ensure a seamless visual presence across every touchpoint.

This year’s concept leans fully into “Neverland” energy. Glowing forests. Winged figures suspended in twilight. A commanding pirate captain stepping forward from the mist. The artwork was designed to feel immersive and theatrical, setting the tone before guests even arrive at Rustyhook.

The typography was layered for impact and legibility, balancing ornate fantasy styling with clean event information. Colour grading focused on luminous blues and enchanted golds to create depth and visual drama, while keeping the date and venue details clear and prominent.

One deliberate detail? The pirate captain has six fingers. This is a playful nod to the six-fingered man in The Princess Bride, a subtle easter egg for fantasy fans who appreciate iconic genre references. It adds character, conversation and just a touch of legendary lore to the design.

Deliverables included:
• A5 print flyer
• Social media launch graphics
• Ticket platform collateral for Quicket
• Supporting promotional assets for digital rollout

The result is a cohesive campaign identity that feels epic, immersive and unmistakably Fantasy Fayre.

If your event deserves more than just a poster, let’s build a world around it with pixelmagic.
